Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to courses, classes, appointments, coaching sessions, events, and other services purchased or reserved directly through Idaho Gun School.
Throughout this Policy, “Idaho Gun School,” “IGS,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to IDAHO GUN SCHOOL, LLC, doing business as Idaho Gun School.
By registering for or purchasing a course or service directly from Idaho Gun School, you agree to this Policy.
Purchases made from Amazon or another independent third-party retailer are not purchases from Idaho Gun School and are governed by the policies of the applicable retailer or seller.
1. General Policy
Idaho Gun School limits class sizes and reserves instructor time, range time, facility space, and other resources based on confirmed registrations.
For that reason, cancellations and rescheduling requests are subject to the terms below.
Any cancellation or refund terms specifically stated for a particular course, event, private service, promotion, or registration will control if they differ from this general Policy.
2. Customer Cancellations
Unless otherwise stated at the time of registration, customers who cancel more than seven calendar days before the scheduled course or service may request either:
A transfer to another available date; or
A refund of amounts paid directly to Idaho Gun School, less any clearly disclosed nonrefundable fees.
Requests received seven calendar days or fewer before the scheduled course or service are generally nonrefundable.
At Idaho Gun School’s discretion, the registration may instead be transferred one time to another available date.
3. Same-Day Cancellations and No-Shows
Customers who cancel on the scheduled date, fail to attend, or fail to appear within a reasonable time after the scheduled start time are considered a no-show.
Payments associated with a no-show are generally forfeited and are not eligible for refund or transfer.
Idaho Gun School may make exceptions when unusual circumstances warrant doing so, but exceptions are discretionary and should not be expected.
4. Rescheduling Requests
Requests to reschedule should be submitted as early as possible.
When approved, a registration may generally be transferred one time to another available course or service of equal or lesser value.
A transferred registration remains subject to the cancellation rules applicable to the newly scheduled date.
Additional rescheduling requests may require a new registration or additional payment.
5. Private Instruction and Coaching
Private instruction, private coaching, custom training, or other services that reserve instructor time specifically for an individual or group may be subject to different cancellation requirements.
Any different terms will be disclosed at the time of booking or in the applicable service agreement.
Where no separate terms are provided, this general Policy applies.
6. Deposits and Nonrefundable Fees
Certain courses, private events, custom programs, or special services may require a deposit.
If a deposit is clearly identified as nonrefundable at the time of purchase, it will not be refunded except where required by applicable law or where Idaho Gun School cancels the service and does not provide a reasonable alternative.
Payment-processing charges, facility fees, or other third-party charges may also be nonrefundable when clearly disclosed before purchase and where permitted by law.
7. Cancellation by Idaho Gun School
Idaho Gun School may cancel, postpone, relocate, or reschedule a course or service when reasonably necessary.
Reasons may include:
Unsafe weather or environmental conditions;
Range or facility closure;
Instructor illness or emergency;
Equipment or infrastructure problems;
Insufficient enrollment;
Safety concerns;
Regulatory or legal requirements; or
Other circumstances that reasonably prevent safe or effective delivery of the service.
If Idaho Gun School cancels a course or service and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, affected customers will generally be offered a transfer, account credit, or refund of amounts paid directly to Idaho Gun School for the canceled service.
8. Weather and Unsafe Conditions
Firearms training may depend on weather, road conditions, range conditions, fire restrictions, visibility, temperature, or other environmental factors.
Idaho Gun School determines whether conditions permit a course or activity to proceed safely.
Unless Idaho Gun School announces a cancellation or postponement, customers should assume the course remains scheduled.
A customer who independently chooses not to attend a course that Idaho Gun School has not canceled remains subject to the normal customer cancellation provisions of this Policy.
9. Late Arrival
Many courses include safety briefings, instructional components, or other information that must be completed before participation in later portions of the course.
A participant who arrives late may be unable to participate if required instruction has been missed or if allowing late participation would interfere with safety or course operations.
Being denied participation because of late arrival may be treated as a no-show and may not qualify for a refund or transfer.
10. Failure to Meet Course Requirements
Customers are responsible for reviewing course prerequisites, required equipment, documentation, age requirements, and other registration requirements before attending.
Unless a course description expressly states otherwise, participants are generally responsible for bringing their own suitable firearm or firearms, required ammunition, and any other equipment identified for the course.
A participant who cannot participate because they:
Fail to satisfy stated prerequisites;
Fail to bring a required firearm, ammunition, equipment, or documentation;
Bring equipment or ammunition that does not meet stated course or range requirements;
Fail to complete required participant agreements;
Arrive unprepared for the stated course requirements; or
Otherwise fail to satisfy requirements clearly disclosed before participation
may not be entitled to a refund.
Idaho Gun School may, at its discretion, offer a transfer or other accommodation when reasonably practical.
Detailed requirements concerning firearms, ammunition, equipment, safe condition, lawful possession, and use during training are addressed in the applicable course materials, safety rules, and participant agreements.
11. Removal for Safety or Conduct
Safety is a condition of participation in Idaho Gun School activities.
A participant who is removed from a course, event, or service because of unsafe behavior, impairment, violation of classroom or range rules, threatening or disruptive conduct, refusal to follow instructor directions, or other material misconduct is generally not entitled to a refund.
Additional safety and participation requirements may be contained in separate participant agreements, range rules, or course-specific policies.
12. Course Transfers
An approved transfer applies only to available Idaho Gun School courses or services.
Transfers are not guaranteed for a particular date, instructor, location, or course format.
If the replacement course costs more than the original registration, the customer must pay the difference.
If the replacement course costs less, any credit or refund of the difference will be determined at the time the transfer is approved.
Registrations and credits may not be sold, assigned, or transferred to another person without Idaho Gun School’s approval.
13. Promotional Purchases, Discounts, and Gift Certificates
Registrations purchased using a promotion, discount, coupon, credit, or special offer may be subject to additional restrictions disclosed with that offer.
Refunds, when available, will generally be based on the amount actually paid rather than the regular retail price.
Gift certificates, gift cards, and account credits are subject to the terms disclosed when issued and applicable law.
14. Third-Party and Affiliate Purchases
Idaho Gun School may provide links to products sold by Amazon or other independent third-party retailers.
Some of these links may be affiliate links through which Idaho Gun School may receive compensation when a customer makes a qualifying purchase.
A product purchased through an Amazon or other third-party affiliate link is purchased from the applicable retailer or seller, not from Idaho Gun School.
Accordingly, Idaho Gun School’s Cancellation & Refund Policy does not govern those purchases.
Ordering, cancellation, shipping, delivery, returns, exchanges, refunds, product warranties, product defects, recalls, and customer service relating to a third-party purchase are governed by the applicable retailer’s or seller’s terms and policies.
Customers should direct questions, return requests, refund requests, warranty claims, and other issues concerning such purchases to the retailer or seller from whom the product was purchased.
Idaho Gun School does not control and cannot guarantee a third-party retailer’s pricing, availability, fulfillment, shipping, return policies, warranties, or customer-service decisions.
Nothing in this section limits any rights a purchaser may have against the applicable retailer, seller, manufacturer, or other party under applicable law.
15. Affiliate Recommendations
An affiliate relationship does not make Idaho Gun School the seller, manufacturer, distributor, warrantor, or fulfillment provider of products purchased from an independent retailer.
Product recommendations are provided for informational purposes and reflect the recommendation or evaluation presented at the time.
Customers remain responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their needs, compatible with their equipment, and lawful for them to purchase, possess, transport, or use.
Where applicable, affiliate relationships will be disclosed in accordance with applicable law and program requirements.
16. Refund Method
Approved Idaho Gun School refunds will generally be issued to the original method of payment whenever reasonably possible.
If the original payment method cannot be used, Idaho Gun School may arrange another appropriate refund method.
Processing time may vary based on the payment processor, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution involved.
Idaho Gun School is not responsible for processing delays caused by a customer’s financial institution or payment provider.
This section applies only to refunds owed by Idaho Gun School and does not govern refunds from Amazon or another third-party retailer.
17. Travel and Other Customer Expenses
Customers are responsible for their own travel arrangements and other personal expenses associated with attending Idaho Gun School services.
Unless required by law or expressly agreed otherwise, Idaho Gun School is not responsible for reimbursing expenses such as:
Airfare;
Fuel or mileage;
Lodging;
Meals;
Childcare;
Lost wages;
Ammunition;
Safety Gear;
Equipment purchases; or
Other incidental expenses.
Customers traveling significant distances may wish to use refundable or flexible travel arrangements.
18. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers should contact Idaho Gun School before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback concerning a transaction made directly with Idaho Gun School so that we have a reasonable opportunity to address the issue.
Initiating a chargeback does not automatically cancel a registration or create a contractual right to a refund outside the terms of this Policy or applicable law.
Idaho Gun School may provide transaction records, registration records, policy-acceptance records, communications, and other relevant documentation to a payment processor or financial institution when responding to a payment dispute.
Nothing in this section limits rights provided by applicable consumer-protection law.
Payment disputes involving purchases made from Amazon or another independent retailer should be addressed with that retailer, seller, payment provider, or financial institution as appropriate.
19. Exceptions
Idaho Gun School may make reasonable exceptions to this Policy based on emergencies, extraordinary circumstances, customer-service considerations, or other legitimate reasons.
An exception made in one situation does not require Idaho Gun School to make the same exception in another situation.
Any approved exception applies only to the transaction or circumstances for which it was granted.
20. Relationship to Other Agreements
This Policy should be read together with the Idaho Gun School:
Terms & Conditions;
Privacy Policy;
Course-specific registration terms; and
Any participant agreement, waiver, or other agreement applicable to a particular activit
If a course-specific written agreement contains cancellation or refund terms that differ from this Policy, the more specific terms will control for that course or service.
Third-party purchases remain governed by the applicable retailer’s or seller’s terms rather than Idaho Gun School’s course and service policies.
21. Changes to This Policy
Idaho Gun School may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time.
The version applicable to an Idaho Gun School registration or purchase will generally be the version in effect when that transaction was completed.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Changes will not retroactively alter an existing customer’s agreed cancellation or refund terms unless required by law or agreed by the parties.
